A few years ago, we moved from town to a house that backs up to a nature preserve. We have a lovely view of fields and hills, and the best part is watching the birds and animals. When we get snow, we tend to see the coyotes a lot more frequently. I don't know if their pattern changes when it is cold, or if they are just more visible! Yesterday this lovely fellow was right behind our fence. I love watching them listen for the field mice under the snow, and then...pounce!
