New Calendar

Hooray, my new calendar is here! This calendar is being produced by Current and is available for $6.99 from their catalog and website. Putting a calendar together is a lot of hard work, but I am proud of how this one came out.

  2. Hello, Jane. I have been impressed by your art for a long time. You are one of my favorite artists. I adore your wonderful paintings with animals and landscapes. I would love to be able to paint like you, but unfortunately I cannot. How do you create such miracles? Do you paint on paper? What types of painting supplies do you use? It is all is very interesting for me. You art is so realistic, and I cannot even imagine how you are creating it.

    Respectfully,
    Diana.

  3. Hi Diana,
I couldn't link to your e-mail address from here, so I'll have to reply by posting below yours. Thank you so much for your nice message! It made me feel great. To answer your questions, I paint with watercolors (mostly) on Canson cold press watercolor paper. I have written some "how-to-paint" books. You might like "Adorable Animals You Can Paint" that I wrote for F&W Publications (North Light books). It has instructions for painting both in watercolor and acrylic. Thanks again for making me smile!

  4. Thank you so much for your reply! Are those apples and bird on calendar painted with watercolor or did you use some additional materials? It is unbelievable! I am dreaming about seeing it being made in real life maybe once. I would like to save some money and buy your "how-to-paint" books. I found some of your books on eBay.co.uk., and now I started to save money . Now I live in Latvia, but I was born in Russia. Thanks to the Internet there are fans of your art in Russia :).
    Respectfully,
    Diana
